Personalized Children's Books

A set of personalized children's books was one of the first tools that I used to get my kids started out on a path of regular reading activities. Time has gone by but it doesn't seem that long ago that I bought some very basic software that I could produce my very own personalized children's books. This was back when software was pretty rough to use and forget about color printing. After much trial and error with this pre-windows software, I was able to produce my very own personalized children's book. Actually I should say I was able to produce the pages of the book! After a couple more trips to the office supply place, I was able to bind everything together into an actual storybook complete with my child's name used as a character throughout.

Certainly times have advanced the technology so the task is much less cumbersome, but the results of having your own library of children's literature complete with your child's name used throughout the books, is a marvelous tool to use when teaching your child to read.

More Resources

I can only relate to you how much enjoyment and time spent reading from these children's books that my two kids did. And even today, although they are now both young adults, they still often times speak of the times we spent reading to them and, in fact, both of the kids can still dust off their old personalized baby books and read a line or two because they both still have the books!

The importance of reading to your child early and often, and getting them involved with reading and developing good reading habits is well documented when it comes to building a solid educational foundation for your child.

Today you can find wonderful assortment personalized baby books online and even personalized children's music! And speaking from personal experience, you'll get hours of quality reading time all the while teaching your child read, because children love to see their names used through each adventure.
