Montessori home schooling
Montessori home schooling. A special method for teaching children was devised by Dr. Maria Montessori. This system of education aims to develop the child’s natural interests and activities and does not use formal teaching methods. The teacher has to manage the environment but not controlling the child. Here, the children who are freely allowed to interact with the environment in which they lived in grow with self-discipline, love for order and natural curiosity.
The Montessori homeschooling teaching method is more applicable to preschoolers who want to explore in almost everything and will not stop until they’re able to satisfy their curiosity. Involving the children at this stage into doing some of the household chores like cooking, washing, cleaning, gardening and other ‘adult’ activities establishes a fruitful learning experience. With these occasions for self-reliance, the child learned to be independent and is able to develop more his self-esteem and confidence.
In the Montessori homeschooling 3-6 classes there are plenty of activities stirring up the child’s artistry, cultural and scientific mind. Computers, TV and junk foods are not allowed. Learning materials are systematically and methodically chosen such that with the use of these materials around him, the child’s distinctive talents and innate learning abilities are stimulated and holistically developed. No child is ever compelled to do a thing. From whatever catches the eyes of the child there the teacher took the hint of his talents and learning capacity. So, as the child appreciates the things he is doing, he will come to love the acquisition of knowledge.
